Due to Tuesday's Primary Election in Wyoming, the Johnson County Commissioners will have their second meeting of August on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.
On the Agenda for Wednesday, the Commissioners will have County Attorney Ken DeCock and Assistant County Attorney Ryan Wright in for a discussion concerning the application for the OJJDP Grant.
Commission Chair Smokey Wildeman explains why the discussion was scheduled.
City Planner Zach Montgomery will update the commission on the status of a number of joint city/county projects and give a presentation on a recently-completed economic development feasibility study.
The commissioners will discuss the Game and Fish's proposed lease of water from the Lake DeSmet Counties' Coalition. That discussion will happen at 9:45am. A decision on whether Johnson County will accept the terms of the lease is expected bfore the next Game and Fish meetings in September.
Also on the Agenda, the commission will get a quarterly update from VOA, and they will accept a resignation from the Planning and Zoning Commission and an apointment to the Airport Board.
The meeting will be Wednesday ay 9am at the Johnson County Courthouse.
