Johnson County's Commissioners, at their last meeting, voted to table an agreement between the county and Sasol North America, Inc. for rights the company will receive as part of their purchase of M&M Ranch at Lake DeSmet.
Commission Chair Smokey Wildeman explained further.
County Attorney Ken DeCock looked the document over and suggested the commissioners not sign it, to give him a chance to clarify a few items within the agreement with the legal team for Sasol.
Minor issues, he said, like the fact that the agreement will expire at the end of December, and that it refers to the soon-to-be-defunct Lake DeSmet Counties Coalition need to be addressed.
The commission authorized DeCock to contact the company and discuss the agreement, make any necessary changes and bring the revised agreement to the next commission meeting.
The issue will be discussed at their meeting December 4th.
