Johnson County's Commissioners discussed a number of issues at their last meeting, ranging from employee retirement to board appointments and resignations.
George Eason, with Wyoming Retirement, gave a short presentation on retirement programs offered through the state that county employees could participate in either in addition to existing retirement programs or opening a new account.
The commissioners voted to allow Eason to speak with employees should they choose to participate.
Ptolemy Data Systems explained to the commissioners the Information Technology (IT) services they can provide to County IT Specialist Rande Money. They Currently provide some services to the new justice center. The commissioners decided to schedule a work session with the county employees this decision would affect and discuss the issue further.
The commissioners appointed Jim Hicks to the Juvenile services Board; Delbert Eitel to the Courthouse Security Board; John Gibbs to the Community Resource Center Board;and the re-appointments of Kirk Kavanaugh to the Airport Board; Scott Rogers to the Weed and Pest Board; and Adam Teeten and Matt Ehlers to the Kaycee/Buffalo/Johnson County Economic Development Joint Powers Board.
Dr. Brian Cotant was re-appointed to the Johnson County Board of Health, and the commissioners accepted the resignation of John McNary from the Planning Commission.
