The Johnson County Commissioners have rescheduled their regular meeting this week from Tuesday to Friday in order not to interfere with Election Day.
On Friday, the commission will consider a Right-of-Way agreement with Duney Keffer. They will also hold a public hearing to amend the F46 Budget, scheduled to begin at 9:30 am.
Also on the agenda, Cynthia Twing, Director of the Johnson County Library Board, will give a presentation to the commissioners regarding the library and its fundraising activities. She is scheduled to start at 9:45 am.
At 10 am, Assistant Planner Jerry Osborn will give an update on Planning and Zoning projects in the county. Tom Camino, County Fire Warden, and State Fire Warden Ray Weidenhaft, will give the commission a fire update from the county and state's perspectives, beginning at 10:30 am.
At 1 pm, BJ Kristensen will give the commission an update on the Energy Minerals Counties Coalition. And Buffalo Mayor Skip Hancock will address the commission at 2:30 pm. The City of Buffalo and Johnson County still need to decide each entity's share of the cost of furnishings for the new Criminal Justice Center.
The Johnson County Commission meeting will again be Friday, November 5th in the County Commissioner's Office, Room 204 of the Johnson County Courthouse beginning at 9 am.
