At their last meeting the Johnson County Commissioners discussed and approved a number of smaller items; accepting a grant, discussing and approving an easement, and setting the final day they will accept bills to be paid from the FY 2013 budget.
The commissioners accepted a grant for the Best Beginnings program, which according the the Wyoming Department of Health's website, is a community-based system of perinatal services for expecting moms. The program assures early and continued prenatal care and coordination of services for pregnant women and their families.
The grant is a continuation of an existing grant in the amount of $61,013.
The commissioners approved the chair to sign an easement with Rocky Mt. Power at the fairgrounds for a power line to the new restroom facilities on the far side of the arena. The commissioners want the height of the easement changed from 12 feet to 20 feet, and will have Deputy County Attorney Barry Craigo try to change that provision. If it is not possible to change, the chair still has authority to sign the agreement.
Finally, the commissioners set the Bill Pay Day, or the final day they will accept bills for payment from the FY 2013 budget as June 27th. All outstanding bills must be submitted and approved from 1 to 4pm at the commissioner's offices that day.
