Johnson County Approves MOU For Public Health

The Johnson County Commissioners approved and accepted a new Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU, drafted between themselves and the State of Wyoming to provide Public Health Services to county residents.

State Nursing Director Judy Stallman presented the draft MOU with some slight changes to the commissioners at their last meeting.

Changes to the document included designating a county contact which was Clerk Vicki Edelman.
Other changes were specified in the document to inform the county of any changes in State responsibility; to specify that county employees in the public health office attend regular state-required training; to have the county office observe the same Holidays as the State, not the county, or both; and to have the commissioners involved in employee replacement decisions at the public health office, to name a few.
All the changes were specified in a sub-section of this year's document, a change from previous year when they weren't specified.

The commissioners voted to have the chair sign the MOU once Deputy County Attorney Barry Crago has looked it over.
