At their meeting last week, Johnson County's Commissioners discussed a drain issue and drainage ditch problems at the city/county recycling center property.
An issue with a plastic floor drain that has been damaged by equipment rolling over it was discussed.Wyoming Woodworks of Buffalo, who built the building, will remove the existing drain and install a steel channel with grate to replace the defective drain.
Also discussed was Snyder Ditch No.2, which rans along the west boundary of the recycling center property. The city is working with landowners and others in the area to expand a parking lot and clean up the ditch. A number of options are being discussed buth no decisions have been made yet.
Snyder Ditch No. 2 runs from south of the recycling center at Clear Creek north to the Burton Property behind Hart Street's businesses.
