A 63-year-old Sheridan man was sentenced to eight months in prison for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Wayne Allen McAlpin was sentenced in U.S. District Court of Wyoming by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal.

A "No Train Horn" Celebration was held Thursday night at the Historic Sheridan Inn.

After years of work by many, the train horns have been silenced in downtown Sheridan. Thursday night there was a “No Train Horn” celebration at the Historic Sheridan Inn to commemorate the occasion.
