Johnson County's employees chose to stay with their current health insurance provider and the Insurance Committee relayed the employees' wishes at the county commission meeting Tuesday.
Mountain Benefit Associates (MBA) has been the health insurance provider for the county and other entities in the area, and the employees were comfortable with keeping the company for their provider.
Employee representative Rande Money, who is on the Employee Insurance Committee, explained to the commission the one problem employees said they had with MBA.
MBA Representative Ray Phillips was also in attendance and told the commission his company was willing to set up meetings with the county employees to answer questions, address concerns and help any way they could.
After hearing recommendations from the committee, the commissioners chose to stay with MBA for another year.
