Geared toward elementary-age kids and younger and their parents, the Johnson County Family YMCA will have their Healthy Kids Day This Saturday, April 16 at the “Y.”
Numerous fun activities will teach kids about healthy life choices regarding nutrition, exercise and wellness in general.
Mike Quast, Director of the local YMCA, explains what the day will be like for kids and their families.
Also scheduled to be there will be the fire department, local EMT's, the police department, the US Forest Service, Public Health and other organizations to teach kids how to stay healthy and safe.
The YMCA will also pitch in with the activities, Quast said.
The YMCA Healthy Kids Day will begin at 10am and run through 1pm. It is free and open to the public, so bring the kids and enjoy a fun day at the local “Y.”
