The Johnson County Incident Command issued an update Friday on the flooding situation in the county. Additional moderate to heavy rainfall is expected through tonight, which may cause minor rises in creeks and rivers, however most will remain well below flood stage or below bankfull.
The draws and outlying creeks are more of a concern right now than the major creeks and rivers.
According to County Information Officer Marcy Schuler, the county looks okay for the weekend, but they will continue to monitor the area and notify the public of any changes.
The next scheduled threat update will be Monday morning, May 23rd. Check back periodically at sheridanmedia.com for more updates as they become available, or when necessary.
