Johnson County Commission Chair Smokey Wildeman attended the Buffalo City Council meeting Tuesday to inform them of the county's intent regarding the relocation of the Johnson County Recycling Center.
The current recycling center will need to be moved should the new courtroom facilities be added to the new criminal justice center which is currently under construction.
Wildeman addressed the council, explaining what the county commission had decided.
Wildeman then told the council the contractor on the criminal justice center would want the old recycling building removed this summer, probably in August, if the county goes ahead with the courtroom addition to the criminal justice center.
The new site for the recycling center, should it be moved, will be adjacent to the city's water salesman on Butte Street, behind the Dollar Store/Verizon Wireless building.
