Jo Co Commission Approves Request From CRC

Johnson County Commission
Johnson County Commission

The Community Resource Center approached the Johnson County Commissioners at their meeting last week to request some of the $20,000 the commission has set aside for their programs.

With this fiscal year's budget, the commission set a line item allowing up to $20,000 for various programs for the CRC for fiscal year 2011-2012, and the CRC can then make requests of the commission for funds to be allocated to them and subtracted from their line item in the county budget.

The request at last week's meeting was for $5,995.
This is the first time funding has been set this way for the CRC, and the commission and the CRC discussed how funding requests would be handled.

The CRC will periodically ask for funds so they have them available for their various programs to use as needed and will track all of their expenditures and report back to the commissioners where the funds were spent.

This is the first request for funds this fiscal year by the CRC.
