The Johnson County School District 1 Board of Trustees had their meeting Monday night, and were informed by Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler that funding has been approved by the state for infrastructure in and around the new intermediate school that is currently in the design phase.
Kessler said the School Facilities Commission (SFC) and the School Facilities Department (SFD) have approved $565,755 for infrastructure. He explains how the process works.
Kessler said the school district, in collaboration with the City of Buffalo and Johnson County, presented the school infrastructure project with the proposed SW Quadrant upgrade to the city, which was looked at favorably by the SFC and the SFD.
The next public meeting on the proposed school project will be November 15th at 5:30 pm in the Meadowlark Elementary School Gymnasium.
