The Johnson County School District Board of Trustees got an update on the ongoing Cloud Peak School Project from District Business Manager Matt Ramey, and also discussed commissioning the building when it is completed.
The school building is on schedule overall, Ramey said, ahead on some projects and behind on others but on schedule for the most part. The building is scheduled to be enclosed by the end of October and work will then shift inside the building for the remainder of the winter and spring.
It is scheduled to be completed in 2013 and ready for students in the fall of 2013.
Commissioning the building was also discussed. Ramey explains what that means.
Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler explains why the School Facilities Commission is implementing commissioning.
The School Facilities Commission will be paying for the commissioning of the building, according to Ramey.
