At their meeting Monday night, the Johnson County School Board of Trustees heard requests for student tuition waivers, isolation approvals and home schooling and after discussions approved them all.
Isolation requests came from two students' families that live in Johnson County but closer to the schools in Arvada-Clearmont. It takes formal board approval for the request, and Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler explained to the board it wasn't an unusual request.
Also approved were tuition waivers for three students, two in 6th grade and one in 9th grade. Three families submitted requests to home school their children, affecting four students total, and the board granted the requests.
And the board approved employment recommendations in the district: Meg Norman as a full-time Special Education Aide at Clear Creek Elementary School seven hours per day; and a transfer involving Debbie Grant, part-time Title 1 Aide for four hours per day.
