The Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees, at their meeting this week, voted to accept the employment recommendations presented by the Administration.
Each school year the district deals with changes from transfers, retirements and new hires for the following year, and the recommendations are starting to filter in.
Approved were the resignations of Cindy Townsend, Speech/Language Pathologist; Tim O'Gan, Special Education Director; Marsha Parker, Instructor at Meadowlark Elementary; Marian Rinn, Accounts Payable Clerk for the district, effective June 30th; Marty Zegstroo, Food Service Employee at Buffalo High School, effective March 28th; Kent O'Connor, Custodian at Kaycee, effective March 22nd; Marcia Gaines, Assistant Swim Coach at BHS, effective at the end of the season; and Vicky Chennette, Art Instructor at Meadowlark Elementary.
All resignations are effective at the end of the year unless specified.
Also approved was the transfer of Kathy Camino from Principal at Meadowlark Elementary to Director of Special Education.
And hired by the district was Linda Danforth as Speech/Language pathologist to replace Cindy Townsend.
More employment requests are expected to come before the board before the end of the school year.
