At their meeting Monday night in Kaycee, the Johnson County School District Board of Trustees were notified of a grant awarded to the district's Learning Center in the amount of $1,000.
Craig Kitto, Associate Principal at Buffalo High School, said the district had applied for a grant from the Craig and Susan Thomas Foundation, and he received notice of the award this past weekend.
He explains further.
According to their website, the Craig and Susan Thomas Foundation Offers assistance to organizations and groups that support their goals and champion Wyoming's youth. The average grant amount is $2,000.
Applications are accepted throughout the year and awards are determined by need and suitability to Foundation goals.
