At their first meeting of June, the Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees approved the recommended purchase of a property adjacent to Clear Creek Middle School.
The property, located at 47 South DeSmet Avenue, is directly south of a two-story property currently owned by the district that was purchased within the last few years and is currently used as a special education building.
The asking price was $227,000 but was negotiated to $205,000 and with related expenses will cost the district a total of $207,455.
District Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler explained to the board what the property will be used for.
