The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center met last Wednesday, and discussed the current construction project.
Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward told the board that this phase of construction was nearing completion, and everything looks promising for an Aug. 2 move-in date.
The hospital is in the process of installing their new Information Technology room, and will be installing their new phone system within the next couple of weeks, according to Ward.
Once the area under construction, which will house the new ER, administrative offices and audiology is complete, the area that currently houses the offices and audiology will then begin construction.
Construction costs so far are $8.9 million, and Ward estimated final costs to be just under $12 million.
Ward said he expects a final completion date for the project in May of 2012.
