The Johnson County Healthcare Center Board of Trustees had their monmthly meeting Wednesday evening and heard updates on the status of the current construction project and on the next phase of construction, the 2016 project.
Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward said the current project is still on schedule for an August completion and is still projected to come in at the $12 million threshold, about $480,000 under the original estimated cost.
The Health Information (Medical Records) area and the Patient Education area have been occupied in just the last two weeks.
Ward also explained the timeline for the next phase of reconstruction, the 2016 project, which will replace the aging Amie Holt Care Center and the older sections of the hospital connected to it. The project, if pursued, would be completed in 2016.
The Board approved moving forward with the preliminary planning stages involving the project.
