The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center had their monthly meeting Wednesday night, where they approved price increases, pay increases, capital budget and the pension contribution within the budget for the upcoming year.
Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward explained to the board his concerns with the budget.
Prices for most departments will be increased by 5 percent, and wages were increased by 3 percent, with special wage increases for selected personnel. A pension contribution of $212,105 or 3 percent was approved.
The ER contract was increased by 5 percent effective January 1st, 2012.
The cost of supplies was also increased by 5 percent.
It was assumed in the preliminary budget that a 3 mill tax levy will be requested and will generate $3,600,000 of revenue, and it was assumed that the Foundation will make a $246,000 donation to the facility.
And finally, no funding for the proposed Urgent Care Clinic was included in the upcoming budget.
The budget for fiscal year 2012 is scheduled to be finalized by the board July 29th.
