Tracey Jelly, with Dooley and Jelly CPA's, gave the audit, compliance and financial report findings to the Johnson County Healthcare Center's Board of Trustees at their meeting Wednesday night.
Jelly said the reports looked good and praised the hospital's employees in the accounting office.
The report was quite detailed, but Jelly gave highlights from the report. Current net year income was roughly $3.6 million versus $4.8 million last year, mainly due to a decrease in a county subsidy of nearly $1.8 million.
Net loss from operations decreased from just over $1 million last year to $650,000 in FY2011.
Assets from the JCHC Foundation increased by $479,000 or 8%. Operating revenue increased by approximately $1,561,000 or 10.38%, while salaries increased by 6.57%. Salaries accounted for roughly 57% of operating expenses for the healthcare center.
