The Wyoming State Convention for the Jaycees was held in Sheridan this past weekend. The Jaycees are a leadership training and community service organization for young adults ages 18-41.
Saturday night's banquet featured keynote speaker Mike Enzi, the U.S. Senator from Wyoming who credits the Jaycees for his political success.
State President Cathy Rosenthal has been a Jaycee since 2005 and can't say enough about the organization.
But the highlight of the banquet had all eyes fixed on local Jaycee, Jarod Martin who received the highest award a Jaycee can receive, the Senatorship Award. The distinct honor had Martin overwhelmed.
The banquet was held at the Black Tooth Brewery.
