Sheridan City Council and County Commission candidates debate the issues at a candidate forum Thursday night sponsored by the Sheridan Jaycees.

The Sheridan Jaycees hosted a candidate forum at the Holiday Inn Thursday night. The forum was for candidates for Sheridan County Commission and Sheridan City Council. House District 30 candidate John Botton, who is running unopposed, was also on hand for the forum.

Jaycees Chairman of the Board Jarod Martin says that this is the 2nd annual forum that they've sponsored and it's geared at getting the younger generation up to speed on the issues.

Martin admits that it's a struggle to get younger people involved in the political process.

There will be several more upcoming candidate forums, as the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will be holding forums next Monday and Tuesday nights at the Sheridan College C-TEL.
