Trail End Hosts Successful Holiday Weekend

This past Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Trail End State Historic site opened its doors for a Christmas extravaganza. It was the annual open house at the Trail End. Site superintendent, Cynde Georgen, fills us in.

Figgy pudding is an annual tradition not to be forgotten.

The museum came alive with the sights, scents, and sounds of Christmas and was decorated from top to bottom, boasting 7 nine foot Christmas trees. There was also live music featuring nine performances by local musicians. On the third floor, Father Christmas could be found.

Six to nine hundred servings, baked by volunteers and staff, are served at the open house.
