Saturday, in the Timberline Room of the Black Tooth Brewing Company, CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy hosted its annual fundraiser, “A Day at the Derby.” CHAPS Director Sue Suddith explains what CHAPS is all about.

Horses eat a lot of hay, but what they do for clients is invaluable.

How can a horse help someone with special needs?

Our veterans and at-risk youth also reap the benefits of working with horses.

The horses aren't just for the clients.

It was an afternoon of wagering on horse races, raffles, games of chance and live and silent auctions with all proceeds going for scholarships, operational expenses, and horse care.
