It's a Christmas tradition for some, driving around and looking at all the pretty Christmas lights and decorations people have put up in their yards.
The Dog and Cat Shelter along with homeowners took it a step further. Saturday was the first-ever "Holiday Home Tour at the Powder Horn." People could purchase tickets and see the decorated insides of several homes there.
Cassie Morss, vice president of the Dog and Cat Shelter says they borrowed the idea from the ladies in Story.
All the homeowners needed to do was open their doors. Little Willow Traders took care of the rest, decorating each home. A new idea in fundraising for the shelter, tickets were sold to go inside the homes to take a look.
All proceeds go to support the Dog and Cat Shelter.
The shelter located at 84 East Ridge Road.
