The Sheridan College Young Musical Artist in Residence Series, or SCYMARS is bringing internationally acclaimed pianist Joshua Wright to Sheridan for a special performance a week from this Saturday.

Sheridan College Foundation Director of Development, Linda Lawrence, says that his recital will include a very special guest from Sheridan High School.

The SCYMARS program was established in 2010 to bring accomplished young musicians to the community to engage young people through workshops, lessons, lectures and performances. Lawrence explains that Wright will be busy the Friday before his recital with a number of free appearances.

Wright will also perform at the Senior Center Saturday, March 5th at 1 pm. All of the events leading up to the Saturday night performance are free and open to the public.

Joshua Wright will perform with special guest Wynton Grant next Saturday night, March 5th at 7:30 pm at the Sheridan Junior High School Early Auditorium.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and military and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the WYO Theater or online at www.wyotheater.com
