An initial pre-trial conference has been scheduled for August 24th in the discrimination lawsuit filed against Sheridan County School District Two officials. Former District Two employee Michael Kadera filed the lawsuit in U.S District Court of Wyoming in June. Kadera is claiming that Superintendent Craig Dougherty along with Assistant Superintendent Terry Burgess played a role in his unwarranted termination from the School District for testifying against District Two in a different lawsuit.
Dougherty and District Two have filed denials of Kadera's claims in response to the lawsuit. The School District and Dougherty have each obtained separate lawyers to represent them in the lawsuit.
