Johnson County Sheriff Steve Kozisek released more information on the traffic chase and crash that happened in Buffalo Monday evening.
According to Kozisek, Richard Gray, 27, of Sheridan was taken into custody on a drug-related warrant and is in custody in Sheridan where he will face those charges. He will also face traffic charges in Johnson County.
Kozisek tells us how the incident began.
Gray then crashed through the fence at Buffalo High School, entered a service road and drove behind the high school where he came out near the Ag shop in the south parking lot.
Gray tried to ram a DCI vehicle, forcing it to swerve to avoid a crash. He continued south on Highway 87, and due to the damage on his vehicle he could not control it and went off the roadway near Trabing Road.
Kozisek describes what happened next.
Kozisek said the DCI warrant for which Gray was originally pulled over was for delivery of methamphetamine.
