At approximately 6:41 pm Saturday, the Sheridan Police Department received a report of shots being fired at a residence on the 400 block of East Burkitt Street in Sheridan.

Sgt. Tom Ringley with the SPD said that officers responded to a single family dwelling and made contact with a male individual, who cooperated with law enforcement without incident. Ringley stated that the man was arrested for reckless endangerment for discharging rounds in a reckless manner.

Police cleared the house and determined that there was no danger to the community. More information on the incident will be available Monday morning when an official news release is issued by the SPD.
