It's been a project that has been in the making for almost three years, improvements to the Elk pasture in Sheridan. A new irrigation system has been installed to provide better forage for the elk and bison in the pasture, and now there's a viewing area along Pioneer Road where the public can enjoy the wildlife as well as learn about them. City of Sheridan Parks Director Chuck Carbert.
Carbert said that the next step is to implement some xeriscaping to the area in the future. Xeriscaping is landscaping that reduces or eliminates the need for supplemental water from irrigation.
