The fact that the Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan was recently under a quarantine is a simple reminder to dog owners the importance of getting your pet vaccinated against distemper. Shelter Director Cel Hope explains why they were quarantined for a couple of weeks.
Hope says the distemper vaccine is inexpensive and can go a long way in keeping your pets safe from stray animals.
Vaccinations for distemper can be done at any of the local veterinary clinics in Sheridan.
