UPDATE - A multiple vehicle crash at Piney Creek has resulted in the closure of Interstate 90 in both the east and west-bound lanes between Sheridan and Buffalo.
Emergency vehicles are still on the scene at this time.
Ronda Holwell, Information Specialist with the Wyoming Department of Transportation, released more information a short time ago.
WYDOT closed I-90 between Sheridan and Buffalo at approximately 10:40 am this morning due to accidents.
The accident involves several vehicles and is in the Piney Creek area at mile post 44.
WYDOT anticipates it to be several hours before the accident is cleared and they are able to re-open the highway. WYDOT wants motorists to know that they cannot bypass the accident by going to Story as the interstate on ramps are closed at the Piney Creek interchange.
WYDOT reminds motorists that when the interstate re-opens to slow down and drive with caution.
