Day 1 of the Wyoming Hospitality and Tourism Fall Summit taking place at the Sheridan Holiday Inn consisted of, among other things, Wyoming Office of Tourism Director Diane Shober updating those in attendance on the current state of tourism in Wyoming.
Shober said that even with the current recession, Wyoming continues to attract its fare share of tourists and hasn't seen the negative effects of the down economy like other states in the country have.
Shober explains that the Summit is a good opportunity to inform people on the importance of the state's tourism industry.
Sheridan Travel and Tourism Executive Director Penny Becker was elated to host the Summit once again.
Becker explains that along with all of the information that is presented at the two-day event, there's something else that may be equally important to those in the hospitality and tourism industry.
The 20211 Hospitality and Tourism Fall Summit will run through Wednesday morning and wrap up just prior to the Wyoming Travel Industry Coalition's Board meeting at 11 o'clock.
