Hospital’s Financial Chief Resigns

Ed Johlman, who’s been the chief financial officer for the Sheridan Memorial Hospital for the past seven years, has resigned.

The announcement was made this afternoon during a meeting of the board. The board learned that Johlman had accepted another position. With his last day set for June 27, hospital CEO Mike McCafferty said the national search for a replacement will begin immediately.

McCafferty also said strategic planning meetings had been planned this month to gain feedback from the community. The dates are May 13, 17 and 19, to be held at the Best Western in Sheridan. The times are listed at the end of this story.

Also during the meeting, the board approved a new chairman. Kevin Bailey was voted in to take the helm from Ron Mischke. And Chief Nursing Officer Charlotte Mather announced that next week is National Nurses Week. So, she suggested to everyone, if you see a nurse, take a minute to say, “hi, and thank you.”

Strategic Planning Meetings: May 13, 2:30-4:30 p.m.; May 17, 10 a.m. to noon; May 19, 6-8 p.m.
