Sheridan Memorial Hospital will move forward with re-addressing the design plans of a 12-to-15 thousand square foot cancer center that would be located on the west campus of the hospital property. Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty.
McCafferty indicated that early figures for the facility would be in the range of $3.3 million. The Board of Trustees gave their approval to have McCafferty resume talks with CTA Architects and KWN Construction on redrafting plans for the cancer center.
McCafferty said that CTA and KWN will put together some drawings and figures associated with both facilities, and that he'd bring those plans back to the Board at a later date for their consideration. The Board also approved to pursue the idea of the hospital providing their own urgent care.
McCafferty stated that providing urgent care for the community falls under the hospital's strategic plan that was developed in 2006.
