Hospital Moving Forward With Chief Medical Officer Position

Sheridan Memorial Hospital continues to take steps in implementing the position of chief medical officer at the hospital. Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty has been meeting with staff over the last few weeks to explain exactly what the position will entail.

McCafferty says that there have already been several individuals who've expressed interest in the position.

McCafferty stated that while the CMO would work with the chief of staff, there would be no overlap in the two positions, as quality and physician liaison are going to be the primary roles of the CMO.
