The Sheridan Memorial Hospital announced Thursday that the Homer A. and Mildred Scott Foundation has pledged $25,000 to support the new Welch Cancer Center project. Hospital Foundation Executive Director Ada Kirven says that this latest gift brings them one step closer in their goal to raise $4 million for the project.
A groundbreaking was held in mid June and site preparation by KWN Construction has begun on the new facility. The new Welch Cancer Center is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2012.
