April was a record breaking month at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, this following two consecutive slow months. Hospital Controller Susan Novak gives us a rundown of the numbers for April.
April was also a historic month for the accounts receivable department, as they dipped below 50 days for the first time ever.
Accounts receivable is the money that the hospital has yet to collect from patients. In comparison, accounts receivable was at 75 days in January of 2008, and hospital staff have worked hard to lower that number and keep it consistently low since that time.
