The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presented donations totaling $40,000 to the hospital at its recent, annual meeting in Sheridan. With these funds, the Auxiliary's donations to the hospital amount to more than $413,000 over the years.

Auxiliary President, Sandy Pilch, and Barbara Niner of the Kozy Korner Gift Shop, presented two checks at Friday's meeting to hospital officials. Ada Kirven, Executive Director of the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation, Debbie Iverson, Foundation Vice President and Mike McCafferty, CEO of Sheridan Memorial Hospital, were there to accept the funds.

The Christmas Trees of Love Project accounted for $4,000 of these funds. The remaining $36,000 came from the Kozy Korner Gift Shop, according to a media release from Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Additionally, the auxiliary board voted to purchase a GE Panda Warmer for the Women’s Health Nursery - which keeps newborn babies warm. The remaining funds will be used as needed by the foundation.

McCafferty and Kirven together thanked the group of 50 volunteers for their gifts and Kirven said this was a tremendous gift, which will surely make a huge impact.
