The Sheridan Senior Center's annual fund drive, the Holiday Spirit Campaign, is underway. Rindy West, Director of Development at the center, said the center depends on contributions from the campaign to maintain strong programs for the community.
West said last year, the senior center accomplished more than 200,000 acts of service, which can include anything from activities at the center, in-home visitation, and providing transportation around the community. The Holiday Spirit Campaign is a major player in funding the center, and it's conducted primarily through the mail. West said 100 percent of funds received go directly to support the center.
This year's goal for the Holiday Spirit Campaign is $45,000. Donation letters for this year's drive were sent out just before Thanksgiving, but if your letter was overlooked, you can still donate online or at the Senior Center.
