Yellowstone National Park contains a unique collection of historical data, contributed by people of all walks of life. Park spokesman Al Nash explains.

Nash says, however, that there is a “significant gap” in the oral history archives.

People of all ages, he says, are encouraged to share their special holiday memories involving Yellowstone – from a special wildlife sighting to viewing Santa on a snowmobile, or some other holiday tradition involving the park.

Recordings can be submitted for consideration to be used as part of the park's permanent Oral History Collection. Technical information about recording interviews, and even some sample questions to help you get started, is available here:http://www.storycorps.org/
