Sheridan County Sheriff Dave Hofmeier is making a formal announcement regarding his bid for re-election for a fourth term.
Sheriff Hofmeier has served Sheridan County since 1999 as Sheriff. Taking that "report card" analogy further, Hofmeier jokes that there really are term limits with his position -- "when the public doesn't want you anymore, that's your limit -- the people of Sheridan County are my boss."
So, what is it about the job that is prompting a bid for another four years of service?
Hofmeier says that while they may not be the richest sheriff's office in the state -- Campbell and Sublette Counties have that status -- he prides himself on the approachability of his staff and the relationships they have built with the Sheridan County community.
The date to begin filing for any of the elected positions is May 13th, and Hofmeier will be ready.
