State Representative John Patten of Sheridan, who sits on the committee investigating allegations against State Superintendent Cindy Hill, said the House doesn't get to make the decision to impeach her, even though it is the governing body that held last week's three-day hearing on the matter.

He talked about the issue this week with Host Kim Love on our Public Pulse news talk show.

But, he said, he doubted that would happen. He did say that the topic may not even come up for discussion during the upcoming legislative session that starts next month, because it's a budget session and a non-budget item can only be considered during that time by a vote of two-thirds of the legislature.
