The Sheridan County Exhibit Hall at the fairgrounds turned into a surgical ward Friday and Saturday as the Second Chance Cat Rescue offered a no-cost opportunity for pet owners to spay and neuter their cats and dogs.
Rita Rohrbaugh helped with the two-day clinic and says the whole idea is population control.
Second Chance began its program in 2011. Three area vets helped with this year's event and Rohrbaugh says sterilization is a much better solution to shooting strays.
Over 120 cats and close to 70 dogs were sterilized Friday and Saturday.
