Although many in the community have helped through donating to the Caring and Sharing program so far this Holiday Season, there is always more that can be done, says organizer Sally Frost.
Frost and many volunteers will be gathering with their donations at the Buffalo Senior Center next week to sort through them in preparation of distributing them. She explains they are always looking for more donations.
Parents will be able to pick up gifts on Friday, December 17th from 8 am to 5 pm and again Saturday, December 18th from 9 am to noon.
Also, Frost asks Buffalo residents to help with the Senior Stocking program if possible. Stockings can be picked up at the Johnson County Chamber of Commerce or the Buffalo Senior Center and filled with items such as playing cards, gloves, stationary, teas and coffees, soups and hand-made craft items, among other things. She says.
The deadline for turning in the Senior Stockings is Monday, December 20th.
