"HELP IS HERE EXPRESS" BUS TOUR COMING BACK TO SHERIDAN NEXT WEEK

For the second year in a row, a big orange bus will be coming through Sheridan next week with the sole purpose of assisting residents with information about prescription assistance.

You may have seen the ads on television – spokesman Montel Williams standing in front of the giant bus on behalf of the Partnership for Prescription Assistance. Next Tuesday, the “Help is Here” bus will be in Sheridan at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, 956 Coffeen Avenue, from 10 am to 11 am, helping to raise awareness of patient assistance programs among residents who have been facing layoffs or a loss of health care benefits in a struggling economy.

Pamela Squires will be with the bus, and she outlines the procedure.

She says that since they were here last year, 931 Sheridan residents utilized the service, and of those, 783, or 84%, qualified to be matched up with one of 475 agencies from whom help with medication came. And if you think you might not qualify, so you just won’t bother to come to the bus, Squires tells us.

If you are unable to be there then, call their Toll-Free Number: 1-888-4PPA-NOW (1-888-477-2669); or visit their website: www.pparx.org
