Trained navigators from Enroll Wyoming will be on hand this week at the local library to help people understand the new Health Insurance Marketplace under the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.
According to a release from the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, the federally certified navigators will be explaining the available options and qualifying factors and helping clients sign up for coverage.
Drop-in hours are from 5-8 Wednesday and noon to 6 Thursday at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library on Alger.
Under the new law, people are required to have health insurance coverage from employers, their own private purchase, Medicaid, or otherwise, by the end of March or be fined. Anyone who wants to sign up when they drop in at the local library should bring Social Security numbers and dates of birth for all family members to be covered, have an estimate of their 2014 annual income and know how to access a personal email account while at the library.
